Mental Health First Aider two day training with NEU

This two day course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider, giving you:

  • -A detailed understanding and appreciation of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing

  • -Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues as well as guidance to support a person in distress. 

  • -Knowledge to help someone recover their health by singposting them to further support.

Cost

The charge for this course is £30 per person. This covers all the course materials and lunch. 

Details

Two day face to face course, with a day inbetween the sessions. 

Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities

Numbers are limited to 16 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn

All courses run 9:30am-3:30pm.

Delegates to please arrive by 9:15am.

Secondary leaders have the opportunity to attend a meeting in the second half of each term in 2019-2020, this meeting is held at;

Wensum Valley Hotel, Golf and Country Club, Beech Avenue, Taverham, Norwich, NR8 6HP.

This meeting is 8:15am-11am (with refreshments) - 20th November 2019

Primary leaders also have the opportunity to attend a meeting in the second half of each term in 2019-2020. Due to the number of primary leaders, we currently offer this in 4 different locations; 

Central - Wensum Valley Hotel, Golf and Country Club, Beech Avenue, Taverham, Norwich, NR8 6HP - 30th October 2019

North - Holt Hall, Kelling Road, Holt, NR25 6RT  - 1st November 2019 (booking full)

East - Great Yarmouth Racecourse, Jellicoe Rd, Great Yarmouth, NR30 4AU - 7th November 2019

West - The Dukes Head Hotel, 5-6 Tuesday Market Place, King's Lynn, PE30 1JS - 12th November 2019
