We made it!
I hope it has been successful first half term for all. This is always one of the trickiest as we balance back to school with it's new students, staff and parents and the inevitable change this brings, the evenings and mornings darkening and the time to reach this half term holiday seems to stretch out never endingly beyond us.
This year we also had the additional pressure of the new Ofsted framework and the uncertainty of what the reality of a new inspection may entail. Many of our schools have now experienced both Section 5 and Section 8 inspections under the new framework and we hope colleagues will be able to share their personal experiences of the inspection with you at the Autumn Term Leadership Updates.

We would like to thank all those that attended our 2019 annual conference on 26th and 27th of September.
We had a fantastic turnout of delegates, speakers and exhibitors as we spent two days at the lovely Dunston Hall, focusing on well being and leading our schools. We are still chasing some of the presentations from the speakers. Becky will be sending out the one we have on the first day back after have term.
We have spent some considerable time analysing the feedback we received, and then formulating a plan regarding the basic details for next years conference. We will send the draft programme out to all headteachers in early spring, enabling you to feedback on our speaker and content suggestions to ensure the conference will fit the needs of all schools.
We fully appreciate and agree with the feedback regarding our date choice of September. We cannot move our conference to the second half of the Autumn term due to clashes with other providers and in school activities in both primaries and secondaries.
Therefore, the date for next years conference is 15th and 16th October 2020, location TBC. Please add this to your diaries.
We welcome any suggests or requests for speakers or content, please direct these to Kirsty, [email protected].
