We hope everyone had a lovely start to the week and is feeling prepared for the return of the pupils tomorrow (for most of us).
There have been some interesting announcements in the news in the last few days and we know many of us are on tender hooks awaiting the details of the proposed increases to school funding that are due tomorrow. We will keep you updated.
Throughout the summer we have continued to work on your behalf with Norfolk County Council, local MPs, The Key for School Leaders, The WorthLess? Campaign and a variety of other partners. We will be bringing you news across the term via our app, our newsletter, our annual leadership conference and the termly Leadership updates, keep an eye on your inbox and phone for more details as things progress.
We want to remind you how it is incredibly important to ensure that you and your leadership team are the best that you can be, as the saying goes, you cannot pour from an empty cup.
By the end of last term many of us were on our knees, cups were well and truely empty. We recongised this, and as a result decided to welcome everyone back by lowering the cost of the tickets to our annual conference by up to 50%, one of the key themes of this ears conference is wellbeing. We hopee that this prce reduction will make it more affordable to all and that potentially you might be able to bring a long a member of your wider SLT team.
We really hope that this will help and enable you to put yourself first just this once and give you the best start to the new academic year.

Our 2019 Annual Conference is nearly here and tickets are up to 50% off! We are pleased to announce a fantastic line up of speakers and workshops for you this year in the beautiful and tranquil setting of Dunston Hall on 26th and 27th September 2019.
Each day will open and close with a keynote speaker. Laura McInerney is back for the third year in a row to open our conference and give us the run down on what to look out for on the education landscape in the next 12 months. Laura will also close the day on Thursday, questioning an elite panel looking at curriculum from every angle. Questions can be submitted in advance or on the day.
On Friday we have Rob Carpenter, Tom Rees, Sara Tough and Chris Snudden as our keynote speakers, providing us fantastic insights and takeaways you can use right now.
Between each keynote is the option to attend 3 of 18 workshops each day. We hope that the choice will enable you to tailor and focus your CPD to ensure everyone finds the conference as valuable as possible. Nothing of interest? Take an hour to have a coffee a snack and book a surgery session with one of our speakers or exhibitors or meet with others from your Trust/Cluster.
Please keep checking back on this link, as more workshop details are received we will be updating this newsletter.

The workshops will last 50 minutes, giving you 10 minutes movement and refreshment time in between.
Refreshments are available in the marquee all day and lunch is across two hours. Delegates are welcome to collect lunch and eat it outside the marquee, in the Sunningdale Suite or take it to the workshops with them.
This is your conference and the aim is both CPD and wellbeing, as such we would encourage you to focus on both. Dunston Hall has beautiful grounds and fantastic leisure facilities which our overnight guests are able to take full advantage of. There are also beauty treatments and golf facilities that can be booked on to via the hotel at your own cost.
